Job Title: Digital Web Designer (Hybrid position working 2 days a week in the Denton Texas Corporate office)

Essential Function

We are seeking a highly creative and driven Digital/Web Designer to join our creative team. The digital designer will work with multiple teams in the Sally & Cosmo Prof divisions to conceive, develop, and create unique and engaging digital experiences across multiple channels. The candidate should be a fountain of ideas for layout and design and possess the skill set to transform the best ideas into shop-able, user-friendly content assets for a strong, succinct brand and customer experience. You should be able to demonstrate, with a proven track record of taking projects from creative concept to final delivery. A team player is a must with the ability to multitask and pre-plan projects whilst concluding others.

Primary Duties

  • Develop monthly omnichannel creative assets, web banners, landing pages, emails, social media (including organic & paid social), both still and animated
  • Ensure that work is produced to a high quality, with a consistent clear design, adhering to the Sally & Cosmo Prof brand aesthetic.
  • Excellent communication (both written and verbal), interpersonal skills and experience
  • Partner with project managers, copywriters, designers and photo studio to ensure seamless integration with creative process and procedures, while meeting reviews and deadlines
  • Present creative work through the lens of creative strategy to partners and leadership team
  • Highly motivated self-starter, detail and quality oriented and ability to handle multiple competing priorities
  • Provide overarching support to creative team members as necessary

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • BA in graphic design or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in digital, 2+ years in a corporate retail environment
  • A portfolio with proven depth of experience (cross-channel activation and motion design examples) as well as your creativity and attention to quality and detail
  • High proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign. Figma a plus.
  • Ability to effectively assess priorities and work well under tight deadlines
  • Experience in Workfront or other project flow platforms
  • Ability to take complicated inputs and translate them into simple customer experiences
  • Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills, deadline driven

Working Conditions /Physical Requirements The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, retail stores, and residences or commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.

The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, files, books, small parts; using a keyboard, driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
