Position Overview
The Executive Director of Safety & HR will oversee and enhance the safety management systems and human resource functions within the organization. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and fostering a culture of safety while also managing HR strategies that align with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement safety management systems and policies to ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and FMCSA regulations.
• Lead safety training programs and initiatives to promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.
• Collaborate with various departments to assess safety risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Manage HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and training and development.
• Oversee the development and implementation of occupational safety programs and strategies.
• Ensure proper documentation and reporting of safety incidents and compliance with safety regulations.
• Foster collaboration between safety and HR teams to align objectives and enhance workplace safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety Management, Human Resources, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in safety management and human resources.
• Strong knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and FMCSA regulations and standards.
• Certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or equivalent are preferred.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing safety training programs.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
