Job Description

Talos: Institutional Fabric for Digital Asset Markets

Founded in 2018, Talos provides institutional-grade trading technology for the global digital asset market, powering many of the major players in the crypto ecosystem. Our mission is clear: to advance the mass adoption of digital assets by seamlessly connecting institutions to the digital asset ecosystem. We are committed to building the most innovative and trusted platform in the world, supporting the entire trading lifecycle.

At Talos, you’ll find an environment that champions kindness and respect, values diverse perspectives, and upholds inclusivity at every turn. We believe every member of our team brings invaluable insights and abilities that drive Talos forward. In our pursuit of excellence, we foster a culture of trust, integrity, collaboration, and mutual growth.

We are a tight-knit yet globally distributed team of highly experienced engineers and business leaders, with hubs in New York, London, Singapore, and Cyprus. Whether in-office or remote, you’ll be part of a hybrid-friendly environment where your unique talents and insights will play a crucial role in building something extraordinary.

We're Hiring: Technical Recruiter

As a Technical Recruiter, you will be responsible for building pipelines of exceptional engineers who can design and scale complex, real-time distributed systems that power our platform and products. You will report directly to our Head of Talent Acquisition, while working closely with our Co-Founders and senior leadership team to understand strategic hiring priorities, shape our approach to talent acquisition, and ensure every hire raises the bar.

This role is highly focused on sourcing, relationship building, and execution. We have an established Recruiting Operations (RecOps) function in place to enable our recruiters who handle scheduling, coordination, and administrative tasks. This allows you to dedicate your time to engaging with the strongest talent in the market and driving high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Head of Talent Acquisition, Co-Founders, senior leadership, and hiring managers to understand business priorities and define hiring strategies for software engineering talent.
  • Source, engage, and close engineers with expertise in building scalable, real-time distributed systems.
  • Develop and execute creative sourcing strategies to identify passive talent across competitive markets.
  • Drive the full recruitment lifecycle within Ashby, while leveraging RecOps support for scheduling and administrative needs.
  • Ensure an exceptional candidate experience that reflects Talos’s high standards.
  • Use data and reporting in Ashby to track progress, optimize pipelines, and provide insights to leadership.
  • Serve as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders, advising on market dynamics, compensation, and talent trends.

Qualifications & Attributes

  • Proven success as a Technical Recruiter with deep experience in software engineering hiring.
  • Demonstrated ability to source and close highly technical candidates in competitive markets.
  • Understanding of distributed systems, scalable infrastructure, and real-time engineering applied to trading.
  • Comfortable engaging and influencing senior executives and technical leaders.
  • ATS Proficiency: Familiarity with an Applicant Tracking System is required; experience with Ashby ATS is a significant advantage.
  • Baseline knowledge of capital markets hiring dynamics (HFT, Market Making, Quant Trading) is preferred but not essential.
  • Attributes: Detail-oriented, adaptable, proactive, and professional.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performance culture.

Benefits

You will also enjoy a comprehensive array of competitive benefits, regardless of your location, within our warm, welcoming, and ambitious company culture. Our offerings include a monthly wellness credit for personal use, such as gym memberships, massages, or even a ski pass for your next holiday. Additionally, we provide paid lunches in the office, monthly fitness and evening socials to foster connections with colleagues, and annual offsite events to engage with the wider team.

In New York City, the annual base compensation range is $120,000 - $150,000.

This position is eligible for discretionary bonus.
