Job Description

Excellent opportunity for a tax accountant in public accounting. The position will develop and works on a wide variety of tax projects under the supervision of tax professionals by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Preparation of basic and intermediate individual tax returns

· Researches fundamental tax issues using online tools

· Possesses a basic understanding of book/tax differences

· Preparation of federal corporate (C and S) and basic partnership returns

· Preparation of tax depreciation schedules including proper classification of assets

· Preparation of property, payroll, and sales tax returns as needed

· Performs other essential duties as needed

Desired Qualities

· Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions.

· Must have good interpersonal and communication skills: and the ability to interact professionally with outside contacts.

· Should be detail-oriented, have good organizational skills and possess the ability to prioritize.

Desired Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field

·1+ years of tax preparation experience preferred

· Proficient in computer skills, including QuickBooks and Microsoft Office
