POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Our Summer Analysts will have the opportunity to participate in a 10 – week (in-person 5 days a week) internship program within Healthpeak’s Investments team. The program will include the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of financial modeling, a crash course into valuation, research, and underwriting of investment opportunities, and base level understanding of the analytical framework required to make investment decisions in the life science and medical office asset types.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting the Investment professionals in the performance of their day-to-day activities relating to the evaluation of new and existing investment decisions which may include acquisitions, dispositions, developments, redevelopments or structured transactions (joint ventures, real estate loans, etc.). 
• Gathering and analyzing data and preparing reports as requested
• Performing underwriting analysis
• Developing an understanding of Argus cash flow forecasting
• Assisting in the construction of financial models
• Preparing ad hoc analyses for the senior investment professionals, which may include materials required for presentation to the Investment Committee or Board of Directors of Healthpeak
• Undertaking special projects as assigned

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• A target start in June 2025, which will seek to align with candidates’ academic calendar
• Current Juniors, graduating between December 2025 and June 2026, currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
• Preferred majors include Finance, Accounting, Information Science, Economics or Real Estate or other fields or other majors/experience where the candidate can easily demonstrate quantitative analytical experience
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, etc.) with an emphasis on knowledge and experience with Excel
• Strong written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills, and ability to work with others
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Ability to travel
• Paid Internship – Non-Exempt – $30/hour
