Summer 2025 - Interior Design Intern  in GAC Savannah

Unique Skills:

This is an in person Summer internship that will be posted until 11/3/2024. Interviews will start in November.

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Provide effective assistance with presentations (sample boards, renderings, drawings) of aircraft design concepts incorporating customers requirements to achieve marketing objectives and to meet all FAA requirements
2. Interface with interior design to develop effective presentations for aircraft refurbishments and/or completions.
3. Assist in coordinating all fabric material inquiries and reserves to check for availability for assigned aircraft
4. Organize, prepare, distribute and file materials and data to help establish and maintain effective communication and information systems within the design department.
5. Support completion design as required.
6. Knowledge of design principles, color science, textile, carpet, and leather techniques.
7. Knowledge of Microsoft Office software.

 

Additional Functions:

1. Time management, space planning, self-starter, ability to work without constant oversight.
2. Maintain organization and cleanliness of sample library

Education and Experience Requirements:

 

1. Currently seeking a bachelors or masters degree in Interior Design in a full time capacity.
2. Junior level or above
3. Graduating  after August 2025
4. Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher at the time of application, and it must be noted on the resume submitted.
5. Must have reliable transportation to and from work for the duration of the internship.
6. Be available to work at least 40 hours for 12 weeks from May/June to August/September 2025.

 

Minimum Experience Requirements:

 

1. Knowledge of design principles, color science, textile, carpet and leather techniques.
2. Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
