Job Description

North Phoenix company is adding a Senior Tax Accountant to their staff, this position will support the corporate office accounting department by preparing book/tax differences to be reported on the federal consolidated income tax return, reviewing and preparing federal and state tax returns, responding to federal and state income tax notices, and assisting with the preparation of the income tax provision. 

This position is a hybrid work schedule with a base salary range of $95,000 - $110,000.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review the income tax provision calculations by legal entity Prepare and Review Schedules
• Prepare and review taxable income calculations by legal entity and ensure the information is included in the Income Tax Software correctly, including the consolidating eliminations
• Review and prepare Federal and State Taxable Income Calculations as well as the corresponding Income Tax Returns 
• Assist with review and preparation of Foreign Income Tax Provision and Foreign Income Tax Returns
• Perform income tax research and analysis as needed and communicate and implement findings to various internal and external stakeholders
• Work with other organizations within the company explaining tax laws
• Responsible for maintaining and managing the tax depreciation software and reviewing outputs from the tax depreciation software
• Perform other duties as requested by leadership
  

Background Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
• Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience in corporate taxation
• Possess a good understanding of accounting for income tax (ASC 740) and tax compliance
• Experience working with OneSource software, including Tax Provision, Income Tax Return and Apportionment
• Experience supervising, reviewing and directing work of tax preparers
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to independently identify and resolve issues
• CPA or master’s degree in accounting/Tax is preferred
• Experience with SAP preferred
