Part-Time Event Security Officer

Bulwark Protection Services, LLC, in northeast Nebraska, is looking for security officers to join its team. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter who is motivated and hard-working.

Responsibilities

• Detect suspicious activities and watch for criminal acts or client rule infractions at or near the assigned post that may threaten the property, client, or employees at the site.
• Report all incidents, accidents, or medical emergencies as required. Follow emergency response proceedings to respond to emergencies, such as medical and bomb threats, and alarms, such as fire and intrusion.
• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain the security of premises.
• Write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
• Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.
• Circulate among visitors, patrons, or employees to preserve order and protect property.
• Patrol industrial or commercial premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure the security of doors, windows, and gates.
• Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent the passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas.
• Answer telephone calls to take messages, answer questions, and provide information during non-business hours or when the switchboard is closed.
• Warn persons of rule infractions or violations and evict violators from premises.
• Investigate incidents and report findings to supervisors.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 or older as required by applicable law or contractual requirements. 21 is preferred
• Possess at least a high school education or equivalent (GED).
• No recent felony convictions or serious misdemeanor charges in the recent past.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Pass a background screening, including criminal background checks (local, state, and federal), drug tests, aptitude tests, skills assessment, interviews, and personality profiles (behavioral assessment).
