Preswick Glen 55 Preswick Drive New Hartford, New York 13413 Job Description Job Title: Overnight Weekend Receptionist/Security Shift: 11PM Friday - 7AM Saturday and 11PM Saturday - 7AM Sunday Assist in covering time-off within the department Main Function: Responsible for monitoring facility fire, sprinkler, security and SARA (Situational Awareness Response Assistant) systems, then initiating the proper response for alarms and emergencies, providing residents with an initial point of contact 24/7. Must perform basic facility maintenance services. Reports to: Building Services Supervisor Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintains a neat and professional lobby as a welcoming center for Preswick Glen residents and visitors.
• Investigates all alarms and takes immediate action as required.
• Respond to emergencies in necessary manner – may include calling ambulance, 911, and family members
• Answers phones, providing residents with access to the Administration, Environmental, Building Services and Food Service departments. Notifying department heads in emergencies or writing work orders for later assignment.
• Assists Building Services with minor repairs.
• Assists Environmental Services with trash removal, laundry, and minor cleaning as required.
• Responsible for maintaining all appropriate documentation as required.
• Shall perform security rounds as required.
• Must posses a valid New York State driver’s license and be able to drive/operate Preswick Glen’s vehicles safely. This includes but is not limited to transport vans.
• Must maintain a neat, professional appearance and demeanor at all times within Preswick Glen.
• Must adhere to all safety procedures and practices.
• Additional duties as assigned by supervisor

Contacts: Daily with supervisors, employees, residents, contractors, suppliers and visitors. Physical Demands: Stands, bends, walks, pushes and lifts light to medium loads. Must be able to climb stairs. Good communication skills are essential when using phones. Working Conditions: Sitting, standing, walking. Some light lifting to deliver packages, or do laundry. Job Hazards: None Safety: Shall follow safe work practices in accordance with facility health and safety procedures/policies.
