About Our Client’s Nursing Program

Join our esteemed Practical Nursing Program, designed for those with a passion for helping others. Our mission is to deliver a quality education that emphasizes ethics and respect within the medical profession. This program guides student development through practical application, clinical skills, critical thinking, and lifelong learning.

Students will acquire the ability to perform nursing functions within safe, legal, and ethical parameters, develop clinical judgment, and achieve precision in biological, physical, psychosocial, and nursing sciences. Additionally, students will gain the skills necessary to safely and accurately administer medication and qualify to take the Licensure Examination.

With the demand for Licensed Practical Nurses in Illinois projected to grow by 6% from 2021 to 2031, our program equips students to meet the needs of the healthcare community effectively. Embark on a rewarding career path with our comprehensive Practical Nursing Program.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the instructor of record for the residential clinical component of the nursing course.
  
• Mentor nursing students in clinical settings to achieve course objectives and enhance their practical skills.
  
• Conduct pre-brief, residential experience, and debrief meetings with students as part of the instructional hours.
  
• Provide guidance and mentorship to the next generation of nurses.
  

General Adjunct Faculty Responsibilities:

• Effectively communicate with students and staff, offering consistent feedback on student performance.
  
• Be accessible to students for academic assistance via phone, email, or individual appointments.
  
• Collaborate with the Dean and other faculty to address performance and student concerns promptly.
  
• Maintain professionalism in communication, behavior, and appearance at all times.
  

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Nursing is preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience as a registered nurse.
• Self-motivated and flexible, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment with minimal supervision.
• Strong interpersonal skills to connect with students, leadership, and peers.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
• Must hold an active registered nurse license without any encumbrances.
• Ability to provide official transcripts for each degree from an accredited institution before teaching.
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
• Compliance with the college's faculty immunization policies, with appropriate documentation.
• Must be able to commute to the Rockford, IL Campus
