McCain Foods is accepting applications for a Palletizer Operator position, to work a 12-hour night shift at the Burley, Idaho plant. Responsible for insuring that the finished products are properly palletized and stacked by operating the palletizing conveyor equipment, inventory coding equipment, stretch wrap equipment, and forklift.  Responsible for insuring inventory of palletized product is accurate and organized

Accountabilities:

• Communicates regularly with the packaging department regarding product type.
• Communicates problems or changes in production or quality to supervisor and appropriate personnel.
• Inputs data pertaining to product type into computer system to alter palletizer and coding equipment.
• Insures warehouse standards are met
• Accurately completes required records and reports

Qualifications:

• One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to add, subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s
• Required to obtain a factory issued lift truck operators license

Skills:

• Insures inventory of palletized product is accurate by performing several physical counts per shift and verifying count to computer data.
• Sets up and adjusts palletizing and stretch wrap equipment
• Performs preventative maintenance and minor maintenance on equipment.
• Uses forklift to insure equipment is stocked with palletizing and wrapping supplies as necessary

Shift Differential Pay : +$1.50/hr.
