Are you passionate about empowering deaf and hard of hearing students to achieve their full potential? We are looking for a dedicated and experienced DHH High School Teacher to join our remote education team. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing comprehensive instruction across various subjects and preparing students for success in college and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

Teach Diverse Subjects: Deliver engaging lessons in subjects such as English, Social Studies, and electives to high school students.
Create Interactive Lessons: Develop and present online lessons using American Sign Language (ASL) and written English to enhance student learning.
Prepare for Success: Assist students in preparing for standardized tests and college entrance exams.
Incorporate Essential Skills: Integrate transition planning and life skills into the curriculum to support students' growth and independence.
Collaborate for Excellence: Work with content area specialists to ensure the highest academic standards are met.
Guide Future Paths: Provide valuable guidance on post-secondary education and career options.
Foster Self-Advocacy: Support students in developing self-advocacy skills and a strong Deaf identity.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Deaf Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
Valid teaching license with endorsement in Deaf and Hard of Hearing Education
Additional subject area certifications (e.g., English, Social Studies) are a plus
Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) is essential
At least 5 years of experience teaching DHH high school students
Strong understanding of college and career readiness standards
Familiarity with assistive technologies and accommodations for DHH students
