Job Purpose:

Are you passionate about helping people achieve their homeownership dreams? We're looking for a dedicated Mortgage Loan Officer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll work closely with the Mortgage Sales Manager and enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid work environment. You'll have the opportunity to work from home or one of our office locations, with occasional travel to meet clients and attend important meetings.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Engage with clients to identify their residential mortgage needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Convert both inbound and outbound sales leads into mortgage applications.
- Recommend the best product and rate combinations to meet clients' financial needs.
- Meet and exceed sales performance goals on a monthly basis.

Essential Functions:

- Originate, negotiate, secure, and process residential mortgage loans.
- Counsel and advise loan applicants throughout the process.
- Collect necessary information and documents from applicants and related parties.
- Set and explain interest rates, points, and fees associated with loans.
- Oversee the collection of charges and other fees from applicants.
- Monitor loan application statuses and keep applicants informed.
- Coordinate with our team to ensure smooth loan processing and closing.
- Address inquiries and resolve issues related to loan closings.
- Share information about our loan products and services with real estate professionals.
- Prepare reports and ensure the accuracy and completeness of loan files and document retention.
- Perform additional duties as needed.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in managing and negotiating loans in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with loan processing guidelines, including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and FHA.
- Solid understanding of standard loan practices, documents, and real estate terms.
- Strong grasp of the mortgage market.
- Proficiency in Mandarin (Chinese) is preferred.
- Must be based in California.

Compensation:

- $52,000 - $200,000 per year, plus commission (1099)
