Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic — Automation & Facilities

• Engagement: 3-Month Contract (W2)
• Start: ASAP
• Where: 450 Jaycee Drive, Hazleton, PA 18202
• Hours: Mon–Thu, 6:00 a.m.–4:20 p.m.
• PPE: Steel-toed boots required; task-based PPE provided on site.

Role snapshot

Keep production running safely, efficiently, and within quality targets. You’ll comply with applicable regulations and the department’s safety program while supporting both automation and facility systems.

What you'll do

• Troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment with urgency and thoroughness.
• Maintain production machinery and facility equipment.
• Execute preventive maintenance, inspect assets, and report findings to management.
• Complete work orders and update the maintenance tracking system.
• Diagnose electrical issues; suggest and implement fixes leveraging PLC/drive knowledge.
• Confirm machine throughput and product quality after repairs, changeovers, and downtime.
• Track and replenish repair parts and consumables.
• Respond fast to unsafe conditions; address immediate hazards.
• Support building systems: utilities, ventilation, housekeeping, and plumbing.
• Communicate clearly with group leaders and the maintenance manager.
• Perform other related duties as needed.

What you'll bring

• High school diploma/GED preferred; certifications a plus (neither required).
• 1–3 years in industrial maintenance within a fast-paced manufacturing setting, or equivalent experience/training.
• Ability to interpret gauges, tools, and instruments tied to quality and machine health.
• Strong electrical fundamentals and troubleshooting capability.
• Experience with PLCs and drives preferred.
• MIG and/or arc welding experience.
• Forklift experience required; training available.
• Effective communication skills.
