Job Description

Direct Design and Fabrication in Council Bluffs, IA is seeking a talented and experienced Machine and Robotic Automation Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated systems and machinery to increase efficiency and productivity for our clients. You will work closely with our engineering and production teams to identify opportunities for automation, develop solutions, and oversee the implementation process from start to finish.

Responsibilities:

1. Design and implement automated systems using robotics, PLCs, and other technologies
2. Work closely with engineering and production teams to identify automation opportunities
3. Develop and maintain documentation for automated systems
4. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with automated machinery
5. Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
6. Provide training and support to staff on automated systems

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
2. Proven experience in designing and implementing automated systems
3. Strong knowledge of robotics, PLCs, and other automation technologies
4. Excellent problem-solving skills
5. Ability to work independently and in a team environment
