Job Description

• Read blueprints and determine where insulation is needed
• Cut insulation to the correct size
• Install insulation around walls and floors
• Inspect work for gaps or other issues
• Repair or replace insulation when needed
• Use a variety of hand tools and knives to cut and install insulation in the proper areas

Pay Scale: $20-$25/hour DOE

Qualifications

• May need to lift or carry up to 50 pounds of materials 
• Comfortable climbing up and down ladders 
• Ability to stand, kneel, and bend for long periods of time
• Ability to reach overhead or underneath to measure the areas and equipment they are insulating, and calculate the amount and dimensions of insulation required
