**Job Title: Front Desk Agent**
**Location:** Holiday Inn Express & Suites EAST [Siegen Holiday Circle]

**Reports To:** Front Desk Manager & GM
**Job Overview:**
As a Front Desk Agent at Holiday Inn Express, you will be the face of our hotel, providing exceptional customer service to ensure a positive experience for every guest. You will handle check-ins and check-outs, manage reservations, address guest inquiries and concerns, and perform various administrative duties to support the efficient operation of the front desk.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. **Guest Service:**
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide a friendly and efficient check-in/check-out process.
- Address guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure a high level of guest satisfaction.
- Provide information about the hotel’s facilities, services, and local attractions.
- Handle guest complaints and concerns with professionalism and a positive attitude.
2. **Reservation Management:**
- Manage room reservations using the hotel’s property management system (PMS).
- Confirm reservations and provide accurate room assignments based on guest preferences.
- Process room changes and cancellations efficiently while keeping records up-to-date.
3. **Administrative Duties:**
- Maintain accurate guest information and records.
- Prepare and manage daily reports, including occupancy and financial reports.
- Perform cash handling duties, including processing payments and reconciling cash drawers.
4. **Communication:**
- Communicate effectively with other hotel departments, including housekeeping and maintenance, to ensure guest needs are met.
- Relay important messages and requests to the appropriate departments or personnel.
5. **Check-In/Check-Out Procedures:**
- Verify guest identification and payment methods at check-in.
- Provide guests with keys and instructions for room access.
- Conduct check-out procedures, including processing payments and addressing any final requests or concerns.
6. **Safety and Security:**
- Follow all safety and security procedures to ensure the safety of guests and staff.
- Report any suspicious activity or safety hazards to management immediately.
- Ensure the confidentiality of guest information and uphold data protection standards.
7. **Miscellaneous Duties:**
- Assist with luggage handling and transportation for guests, as needed.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk area.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management to support hotel operations.
**Qualifications:**
- **Education:** High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications in hospitality is a plus.
- **Experience:** Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role preferred; experience with OPERA is a plus.
- **Skills:**
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and office equipment.
- Friendly and professional demeanor with a customer-focused attitude.
**Physical Requirements:**
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Capability to handle repetitive tasks and work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
**Working Conditions:**
- Work in a hotel environment with occasional exposure to varying noise levels.
- Must be able to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
