Treasurer

Location: US East Coast or UK & EU

As the Treasurer, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Treasury activities, ensuring that timely, accurate, and actionable information drives our strategic decision-making processes. Reporting directly to the CFO and working in close partnership with our Controller and Senior FP&A, you will chart the course for our organization's financial future, guiding us towards new horizons of success and growth.

You will join an innovative finance team working cross-functionally to support delivery of TM Forum's vision and strategy.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled Treasurer to manage our organization's financial liquidity, investments, and risk management strategies. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in forex hedging strategies, collaborating seamlessly with controllership and FP&A teams, ensuring efficient cash flow management, and optimizing financial performance.

Forex Hedging Strategies:

• Develop and implement effective forex hedging strategies to mitigate currency exchange risks.
• Monitor currency markets and economic trends to identify opportunities for optimization.
• Execute forex trades to hedge against currency fluctuations and minimize financial exposure.

Cash Management:

• Oversee daily cash flow operations which includes concentration of funds, release of electronic payments and operation of short-term investment portfolios, ensuring adequate liquidity to meet financial obligations.
• Optimize cash balances through effective cash forecasting and investment strategies.
• Monitor bank accounts and corporate credit cards transactions and process all requests on a timely basis.
• Administering bank accounts including opening, closing, and modifying accounts, updating authorized signers, bank mandates as needed.
• Outline and develop metrics of superior balance sheet management (B/S analysis and working capital productivity).
• Manage banking relationships and negotiate favorable terms for banking services.

Investment Management:

• Develop investment policies and strategies to maximize returns while adhering to risk tolerance levels.
• Evaluate and select investment vehicles, such as money market funds, bonds, and other securities.
• Monitor investment performance and adjust strategies as needed to achieve financial goals.

Risk Management:

• Identify financial risks and develop comprehensive risk management strategies to mitigate risks related to interest rates, commodities, credit risk and other market factors
• Proactive management of credit terms to optimize cash flow, mitigating credit risk, and enhancing the organization's financial resilience, competitiveness and customer satisfaction.
• Conduct a comprehensive analysis of customer creditworthiness, historical payment patterns, and industry benchmarks.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and customer service teams to understand customer requirements and market dynamics.
• Partner with Controllership, Sales and Legal to negotiate credit terms and payment schedules with customers, balancing the need for competitive pricing with risk mitigation objectives.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Collaboration and Reporting:

• Work closely with the controllership team to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards.
• Collaborate with FP&A team to develop financial forecasts, budgets, and strategic plans.
• Provide treasury analysis and insights to support decision-making processes.

Ad Hoc

• Support ad-hoc projects and analysis requests to senior management.
• Assists with annual audits and corporate insurance risk management in partnership with legal counsel and Controllership
• Drive process improvement and policy development initiatives that impact the function

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
• Seven or more years of work experience, minimum of 5 years in treasury management or related field, with a track record of success in implementing forex hedging strategies and optimizing financial performance.
• Professional certifications such as Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) are highly desirable.
• Experience in the technology and/or telecommunications industry is a plus
• Knowledge of treasury management systems (TMS) and financial software applications is a plus
• Familiarity with accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Experience working in a fast-paced large enterprise is a plus
• High energy, dynamic professional with a strong leadership presence.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze complex problems, think critically, weigh alternatives, and identify solutions
• Exceptional financial acumen; mastery of complex financial analysis, modeling, and data analysis
• Willingness to travel up to approximately 10% of the time
• Self-disciplined, structured and organized, able to work remotely
• Confident communicator with a dynamic and flexible attitude with the ability to work with people at all levels in the organization
