Job Overview

The Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial health and strategic direction of our organization. This individual will be responsible for managing financial operations, conducting financial analysis, and providing insights to support business decision-making. The Finance Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive performance and will work closely with members of senior management.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Financial Planning & Analysis:
    • Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives
    • Analyze data to identify insights, trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement and work with stakeholders to develop actionable plans to achieve results
    • Monitor key financial metrics and trends, identifying areas for improvement and risk mitigation

  • Financial Reporting
    • Prepare accurate and timely financial and management reports on the health of the business, including department reports, sales performance reports, and profitability reports
    • Present financial results and analysis to department managers, senior management, and stakeholders

  • Cash Flow Management:
    • Work with Treasury to optimize working capital and liquidity management strategies
    • Identify opportunities to improve cash flow efficiency and minimize financial risk

  • Risk Management:
    • Assess financial risks to the organization and develop strategies to mitigate exposure
    • Monitor compliance with finance-specific internal controls

  • Financial Operations:
    • Streamline financial processes and implement efficiency improvements
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Payroll, Accounting, Settlement, Technology, Sales, and other groups to ensure alignment and efficiency in financial operations
    • Collaborate with Technology and Business Intelligence teams to ensure accurate and timely flow of KPI data

  • Strategic Initiatives:
    • Provide financial expertise and analysis to support strategic initiatives, such as mergers and acquisitions, new product launches, and geographic expansion
    • Support decision-making through scenario analysis and financial modeling.

Qualifications

  • Must be fully bilingual (Spanish and English)
  • 3 or more years of project-related experience in a corporate environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis roles
  • Strong financial modeling and analysis skills
  • Proficiency in financial reporting
  • Experience in the merchant acquiring/payments industry or financial services sector preferred
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in financial software (such as NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
