Job Description

We are immediately hiring for multiple entry-level Microbiology Lab Technician openings that will be working in a medical laboratory environment! A candidate for this role must have a Bachelors Degree in a scientific field (Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Molecular Genetics, Medical Laboratory Science, etc.).

Job Description:

These roles will be performing testing in a medical laboratory setting on human samples. The current roles will primarily be focused on testing within either the mycobacteriology (AFB) department or the bacteriology department and will primarily include microbiology related testing.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform microscopy work and read cultures.
• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis
• Research, troubleshoot, and resolve customer and specimen problems
• Send test requests to the proper location and release test results
• Assist clients with any specimen-related requests or inquiries
• Process specimens to be sent out to additional facilities
• Provide support to various areas of the laboratory
• Perform sample sorting, racking, and retrieving
• Prepare record logs in a timely and efficient manner
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  
  

Qualifications:

• MUST have a Bachelors Degree in a scientific field (Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Molecular Genetics, Medical Laboratory Science, etc.).
