Job Description

The dock loader/stager will stage and load the schedule door sections, hardware, openers, and any other material ordered by the customer. The loader will ensure to load the trucks accordingly on time for its scheduled ship time and date .

Responsibilities

• As a dockworker, your main responsibility is to load and unload product onto and off of trucks and trailers.  Frequently exerting 50-65 pounds of force.  Frequent lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying of product.
• Able to work independently and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations. Report accidents immediately to a supervisor.
• Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimum supervision.
• Stage doors and product in designated areas to ensure efficient truck loading.
• Notify line supervisors when a product is missing or needs to be manufactured.
• Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications/Education

• Minimum of high school education and 3 months of loading/unloading experience.
• Must have a good command of the English language, both written and verbal.

Physical Demands

• Required to walk, and stand for prolonged periods.
• Constant reaching, bending, climbing stairs or ladders, stooping, kneeling, crouching or and crawling.
• Frequently lift up to 65 pounds
• Peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus.
