Director Of Sales And Marketing

Position Summary: The Director of Sales and Marketing is a strategic leader responsible for accelerating revenue growth and market penetration. This high-impact role requires a proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams to achieve ambitious sales and market share goals.

Location: Washington DC Metro Area – Hybrid role (candidate must reside no more than an hour from either Jessup, MD or Arlington, VA)

Salary: $85,000 – $145,000 total compensation (including performance bonuses and deferred compensation)

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the sales team. Set clear expectations and hold team members accountable for their performance.
• Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales revenue targets. Monitor progress and adjust plans as necessary to meet or exceed goals.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute integrated marketing and sales campaigns and leverage the data and insights to optimize lead generation, conversion, and customer acquisition.
• Optimize sales and marketing operations for peak performance
• Drive efficiency and effectiveness by streamlining processes, implementing best practices, and leveraging data insights.
• Oversee and ensure the alignment between sales and marketing teams to deliver exceptional results.
• Develop and execute budget strategies to maximize ROI and drive sustainable growth. Track key financial metrics and provide regular reporting to inform decision-making.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for the sales team and track performance against targets.
• Provide regular reporting and identify areas for improvement for the sales team. 

Required Qualifications:

• 10 years of proven experience in a sales management or supervisory role. Must demonstrate effective leadership and team management skills, with a track record of achieving revenue targets
• Minimum 5 years in a sales representative role
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred)
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute sales plans
• Experience in budget management and financial analysis
• Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong analytical skills with experience using data to inform decision-making and optimize performance
• While not strictly required, previous experience in a related industry would be beneficial
