Job Description

The La Crosse Family YMCA is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual for the position of Digital Experience Coordinator. This role involves overseeing and leading the YMCA s expanding ESports program and competitive gaming Arena as well as organizing and developing comprehensive digital learning workshops. The parttime position requires availability during evening and weekend hours.

Responsibilities:

• Manage ESports Schedule : Coordinate and oversee the overall schedule for all ESports games.
  
• Promote ESports Program : Update social media produce print media livestream/record events and disseminate information to members and staff to promote the ESports program.
  
• Policy Development : Develop and enforce all ESports and Arena policies and procedures.
  
• Organize Activities : Initiate and run practice sessions competitions and teambuilding activities.
  
• Develop Opportunities : Create and manage leagues tournaments events and partnerships.
  
• Digital Learning Programs : Design and deliver a variety of digital learning opportunities for youth. (Program offerings would be based on the applicants skillset) These include but are not limited to:
  
• Graphic Design : Teach the fundamentals of digital art and design.
  
• PC Building : Provide handson experience in assembling and maintaining computer hardware.
  
• Scratch Programming : Introduce basic coding concepts through the Scratch platform.
  
• Streaming : Guide participants in setting up and managing livestreaming channels and content creation.
  
• Digital Media Production : Offer workshops on video editing audio production and content creation.
  
• Robotics and AI : Introduce the basics of robotics and artificial intelligence including practical applications and projects.
  
• Program Scheduling : Develop a comprehensive schedule for the ESports Arena to accommodate the variety of program offerings.
  

Requirements

• Game Expertise : Indepth understanding of at least one game on the current roster.
  
• Effective Communication : Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with staff volunteers participants youth and members.
  
• Gaming Experience : Competitive gaming coaching or playing experience is a plus.
  
• Relationship Building : Strong skills in building and maintaining relationships.
  
• Organizational Skills : Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  
• TechSavvy : Strong understanding of various digital tools and platforms used in digital learning and content creation.
