DETAILING MANAGER - STRUCTURAL STEEL

Qualifications

* 5+ Years of Detailing/Drafting Industry Experience.
* Proficient with SDS/2 and/or Tekla.
* Strong Leadership and Excellent Communication Skills.
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is highly preferred.
* Extensive experience working with steel fabrication blueprint
* Knowledge of blueprint symbols and terminology
* Understanding of bill of material and material shapes, grades, and sizes
* Communication skills necessary to manage team members
* Ability to work with detailers, customers, and engineers to set schedules and manage document flow
* TEKLA EPM/TEKLA POWERFAB
* Ability to check photos for errors

Responsibilities

-The Detailing Manager ensures all internally detailed prints are accurate and done on a timely basis

-Overseeing the production of Shop and Erection Drawings

-Schedule drawing production with engineers and detailers

-Develop and maintain company detailing standards and detailing procedures

-Manage transmittals of the owner's designated representative and consultants

-Ensure all project requirements and contract documents are reviewed and incorporated into shop and erection drawings

-Train Detailers and Checkers

-Ensure the detailing team is working with the latest contract drawings

-Drawing changes

- Any other duties that may be assigned
