Job Summary:
The Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and managing cancer patient data to support healthcare planning, research, and patient care improvement. This role requires ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the cancer registry database while adhering to state, federal, and accreditation standards.
Qualifications:
Certification: Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) credential from the National Cancer Registrars Association (NCRA) is mandatory.
Education: Associate's degree or higher in health information management, biology, or a related field.
Experience: Prior experience in a cancer registry or healthcare data management is preferred.
Skills: Strong attention to detail, proficiency with cancer registry software, and knowledge of medical terminology and coding systems (e.g., ICD-O).
Pay Rate: $40/Hour
Weekly gross: $1458
