Lamers Bus Lines is looking for a motivated individual to join our charter sales team as a part time office assistant and driver. Candidates should have organization, communication, and time-management skills. In addition, this is a customer service position, so candidates should be dependable and respectful. Previous experience in transportation industry is preferred.
Due to the precise nature of trip planning, good listening skills and attention to detail are important. Candidates should be comfortable using a computer and will be required to use standard office software, as well as booking trips into the company’s charter booking software. The ability to communicate professionally via email and phone is required. You will be working with area schools, athletic teams, community groups and more secure their motor coach transportation. Previous experience with busing, transportation, or trip booking is beneficial, however, we will train the right candidate with outstanding customer service abilities.
This position works Thursdays and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m in the office and drives trips the other days of the week. We can provide CDL training for applicants without a class B CDL with passenger and school bus endorsements. This position also may become full-time in the office with benefits after time and proven dependability and performance.
