Our Division III institution in the heart of Lexington, Kentucky, is seeking a dedicated Athletic Trainer to join our dynamic athletic training team. Renowned for our rich athletic tradition and commitment to academic excellence, we have a history of success, including recently winning a national championship.
Position Summary:
The Athletic Trainer will provide comprehensive athletic training services to our student-athletes, ensuring their physical well-being and optimal performance. As a member of our athletic training staff, you will collaborate with coaches, athletes, and medical professionals to deliver top-quality care in most traditional sports and more like Lacrosse, Field Hockey and Equestrian.
Responsibilities:
· Evaluate, diagnose, and treat athletic injuries.
· Develop and implement individualized rehabilitation programs.
· Provide preventative care and injury prevention strategies.
· Adhere to NCAA regulations and guidelines.
· Coordinate with team physicians and other healthcare providers.
· Attend practices, games, and competitions.
· Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
Qualifications:
· Master's degree in Athletic Training or Exercise Science or similar or Bachelors degree in Athletic Training plus equivalent experience.
· Current certification from the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA).
· Experience working in a athletic setting preferred.
· Passion for athletic training and a commitment to student-athlete well-being.
